Released in 1977, the Synthesizer 100-F was the first synth manufactured by Kawai. Until then, Kawai had been known for its expertise in piano craftsmanship but with the launch of this phenomenal single VCO monosynth, Kawai began to be recognized for their unique yet affordable synthesizers. The 100-F is widely and properly likened to the sound character of the iconic semi-modular ARP 2600, and when you consider the basic set of its core features, you understand there is a touch of magic inside this little beast.
The standout features of the 100F are the envelopes with exceptionally fast attack time, the unconventional VCO-to-VCF modulation and the ultra-wide VCO range spanning from 0.03 Hz to the high audio frequencies. These features, coupled with a powerful and very colorful 24dB LowPass filter boasting an astonishing self-oscillating resonance, render the 100-F a remarkable experimental synthesizer that excels in producing ultra-deep basses, a wide range of unheard effect sounds and ultra-sharp electro percussions.
Bass 100-F is a collection of synthetic basses at their finest, featuring 53 meticulously crafted multi-sample patches ranging from classic moog-style to zapping, evolving and acid. The low-end realm of the Synthesizer 100-F is perfectly replicated in this sound pack that additionally includes 10 bonus lead sounds.
